Do you offer credit?
We like to concentrate our efforts on what we do best, automotive service. Credit services are not our milieu; we do accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.
Can I wait on my repair?
On very small maintenance services such as an oil change, you may find it practical to wait. Our waiting area is stocked with a variety of magazines, color televison with cable, and a telephone for personal use.
It is recommended that if you are leaving your vehicle for diagnosis or major repair, it is better to arrange for alternative transportation. There are many variables that determine the length of time necessary for any procedure. While we can not predict, we can guestimate. It is always best to ask if there is a any question.
May I watch you fix my car?
As much as we believe that one should know their vehicle, we can not allow patrons in the garage area due to insurance rules.
If you'd like some visuals of your vehicle's repair, we can provide digital images. This is by request only. Requests must be made 24 hours in advance.
May I have my old parts back?
In most cases this is not a problem. Sometimes there is a core charge on remanufactured parts. In that event, we release the part with payment of the core charge. You do have the option of reviewing the part, but leaving it with us. That way, you may see the part that was replaced and its condition, yet not have to pay an additional charge.
Whether you want to have your old parts returned, or simply review them, it is ESSENTIAL to let us know prior to the service. Once the part is returned to the manufacturer or deposited in waste, it is extremely time consuming and nearly impossible to recover.
Do you do body work?
With the way my wife drives, I wish that we did! No, we only do mechanical/electrical repairs and maintenance,

I have some old oil and tires in my garage. Would you take them off my hands?
It is by far better to leave such items with us or any other automotive repair or parts facility that recycles. We can take your waste motor oil at no charge.
Did you name your company after the philosophical school of thought first popularized during the Age of Enlightenment?
It's amazing how often we hear this one. As much as we like Descartes, simply put, there was no better word to express our approach to automotive repair.
Do you offer alternative transportation?
At this time we do not, although it is under consideration.

Capital Metro has several routes that pass along on 183. As of entry, they offer service on the 383, 987, 986, 984, and 983. A ticket booklet for 20 rides is only $5.00

Do I need to make an appointment?
If for any reason that you can not make your appointment, a courtesy call is greatly appreciated. That way we can help out others, and maybe in the future, if you're in a bind we will be able to accommodate you.
